Manatee School for the Arts – Hip Hop I–IV

The purpose of this course is to expose students to street dancing. Students study the history of and cultural implications of a wide array of hip hop dance styles. Instruction includes a variety of hip-hop techniques and performance styles, as well as the origins of the movement. Over time, students begin to develop their own style through choreographic projects. Shoes and proper dance attire are required. Students must complete one level before moving to the next.
