Manatee School for the Arts – MS Technology Student Association (TSA)
Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester
Technology Student Association (TSA) introduces students to technology and STEM through hands-on projects and team-based competitions. Students may explore robotics, coding, game design, 3D printing, photography, fashion design, and creative presentations. Competitions are held at local and state levels and may require participation outside of regular class time. At MSA, TSA functions as a project-based course where students choose competitive events and develop new skills at their own pace. Class time is primarily lab-based with teacher guidance. Because competition participation is a required component of the course, students should be prepared for a moderate extracurricular time commitment. Grades focus on planning, participation, and consistent progress rather than competition results. Enrollment is limited. Students are selected based on academic performance, including grades and test scores in science and/or mathematics. Students not selected may still participate in TSA-related after-school opportunities.
