Manatee School for the Arts – Stagecraft II–IV

Students must complete one level before moving to the next. This course focuses on the design and safe application of tools and procedures used to create technical theatre elements such as costumes, lighting, properties, publicity, scenery, and sound. Students develop assessment and problem-solving skills and connect selected literature to various cultures, historical periods, and content areas. Public performances may serve as a culmination of instructional goals. Participation in rehearsals or performances beyond the school day may be required. Permission to use power tools is required.
Prerequisites: Stagecraft I
