Cambridge Language Arts

Encourages a life-long enthusiasm for reading, writing, and spoken communication. Learners develop English skills for different purposes and audiences in four areas: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Supports an integrated approach using a range of fiction genres, poetry, playscripts, and non-fiction texts.

Language Arts (Standard)

Language Arts Florida Standards (LAFS) taught with fidelity. Reading, writing, speaking, listening, and language strands are interwoven throughout daily instruction.

GEM (Great Exploration in Mathematics)

Designed to accelerate students two years in mathematics. Students analyze non-routine problems and explore the beauty, elegance, and application of mathematics. Includes GEM Math leading to Algebra I (high school credit) and Geometry (high school credit).

Continuation of GEARS 1, completing the second half of Physical Science (Introduction to Chemistry) and all 7th grade Life Science standards. Successful completion enables matriculation into Honors Biology I in 8th grade (high school credit).

Honors Biology I

High school credit biology course for accelerated students who have completed GEARS 1 and 2.

Laboratory and technological experiences engaging students in understanding scientific phenomena and real-world connections. Middle school curriculum introduces earth, life, and physical sciences through scientific inquiry.
