Honors instrumental music classes, top performing band, strings, and orchestra classes are offered in $9 ^ { \\mathrm { t h } } { - } 1 2 ^ { \\mathrm { t h } }$ grade. Students will study traditional band or orchestra instruments at a high level. They will learn music theory and history as applied to the music being studied as well as participating in several public performances throughout the year. Students will be expected to perform in large and small ensembles. Students will be expected to learn chamber or solo music independently. Expect commitment outside of class time to practice and performance. The course is by audition and teacher recommendation only.
