Linguistic skills and grammatical concepts are reviewed and strengthened, while cultural concepts are expanded to enable students to understand cultural differences. The goal is for students to communicate with increasing proficiency by discussing the world of work, travel in Japan and Japanese cuisine. Successful students will exit the course with an Intermediate-Low proficiency level in interpersonal speaking, and Novice-Mid or higher in all other modes of communication, aligned with the Virginia Standards and the ACTL proficiency scale. (Prerequisite: WL552C/H Japanese 2)
