Middle School Flex Block is a non-graded period designed to provide time for school wide activities, such as acceleration or remediation opportunities and Promote Respect, PBIS or other Core Values-related lessons.  Students will collaborate, receive teacher support and make connections to the core curriculum. This course is for 8th grade students. The JVG curriculum addresses competencies in career development, job attainment and job survival, as well as basic competencies in written and verbal communications and mathematical calculations. The program promotes the Career Association, a student-led organization designed to aid students in leadership development, organizational skills development, team building and demonstrating the ability to accomplish a set of goals.
