This course provides modified physical education experiences designed to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities in accordance with their IEPs. Students participate in activities that promote physical fitness, motor skills, coordination, and teamwork in a supportive environment. Instruction focuses on developing lifelong fitness habits and fostering confidence through adapted movement and recreational activities aligned with Virginia Standards of Learning.  Participation in this course is an IEP team decision. ### High School Special Education Courses are designed to meet the individual learning needs of students with disabilities who have an Individual Education Program.  These courses promote academic and functional skill development, and support progress toward the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) or Virginia Essentialized Standards of Learning (VESOL).
