Lincoln High School – Aerospace Engineering A (Flight)

Through hands-on projects, students learn about aerodynamics and systems engineering. Students will understand principles of physics that allow for flight, parts of an airframe, aircraft propulsion. Students will explore properties of some aerospace materials and design aircraft structural components in computer aided design (CAD) simulation software. Students will learn about the basics of flight, to include take-off, landing, and navigation using a full-sized flight simulator. Students will create and test composite samples which represent structural components used in aircraft construction. This course is not required to take Aerospace Engineering B.
Prerequisites: Human Centered Design 1 STEM (HCT2700)
