Lincoln High School – Technical Theater 1B

Technical Theatre Advanced is a production-oriented course that extends skills in Technical Theatre and Design. Students apply, analyze and assist in the creation of a unifying concept for a production in one or more of the following disciplines: lighting, sound, properties, set construction, special effects, costumes, make-up, theatre management, or stage management. Students may choose a technical theatre focus, assist, and then lead the design process for a main stage production including the development of a design portfolio. Technical Theatre Advanced is offered as a CTE course, CTE course cross-credited for Fine Arts, and a Fine Arts course. This CTE course is eligible for dual credit because it adheres to the standards defined in the articulation agreement with Shoreline Community College when both Tech Theatre 1A & 1B are completed (these credits are transferrable to any technical or community college in Washington state). This course may be repeated for credit. \*\* _If you would like to take a full year of Tech Theatre, register for both Tech Theatre 1A & 1B._
