Students of all abilities participate in developmentally appropriate activities including lifetime activities, physical fitness, and sport. Students work together to increase competence and confidence in physical activities, motor skills, and movement. Participants also practice responsible personal and social behavior through physical education and ongoing leadership opportunities. Unified PE joins student athletes who have disabilities with peer mentors who do not to compete together in a variety of activities. This class is guided by a simple principle: practicing skills and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding for all students. Peer Mentors receive elective credit.
