During this repeatable, year-long course, students will plan, write, design, and produce the high school yearbook as well as produce content for the yearbook social media pages. Students will practice and learn media skills such as digital media basics, social media ethics, interviewing, writing, revising, editing, social media design/packaging, and photography. Students will be expected to compose captions, headlines, and stories. This course requires students to be available after school from time to time for reporting and photography, particularly during deadlines, and emphasizes a team approach to successful publication. \*Middle school students can register for this course as incoming freshmen with a recommendation from either their English teacher or middle school adviser.  This course can be taken for Practical or Fine Arts credit.

Prerequisites: English teacher recommendation and signature.

Grades: 9,10,11,, 12
