SemesterThis course is designed to aid 9th through 12th graders to be successful in high school through the development of study skills, an orientation to school resources, and the development of "life skills" which include: academic planning, goal-setting, problem-solving skills, self-awareness, career exploration, communication, interpersonal skills, and a hands-on class with many varieties of experiences and guest speakers. This course is also designed to improve collaborative problem solving and individual writing skills. Students will be focused on performance outcomes. Time management skills are emphasized. Maintenance of a three-ring binder notebook for assignments and class notes for all courses in which students are currently enrolled is required. This course may be repeated for duplicate credit.
