one This course is designed to measure applied vocational skills reviews in pre-vocational education courses in our district. Students will review areas of need in order to complete a successful promotion into a transition program. Goal areas include, but are not limited to, ADA Certification, access to a current California I.D. card, current address, exposure to public transportation mobility training in our local community, introduction and expansion of needed skills required to gain access to a Work Ability 1 training position, career exposure, extended independent work skills, develop ability to accept criticism, taking job interest inventories, developing casual conversation skills, developing job recognizing quality work and self correction, increasing skills in the areas of vocational endurance at a Work Ability 1 job training site, refining mobility skills needed to gain access to our local community, demonstrating skills required to maintain good job standing being prompt, accepting constructive criticism, making necessary behavior changes when needed, dressing appropriately for work, demonstrating appropriate grooming skills needed for public job placement, using a watch/clock to tell time, showing knowledge of chain of command, receiving and delivering messages, developing personal insight, expressing want, needs and information, exhibiting ethical standards on the job planning and completing graduation requirements and carrying and showing I.D. This course is designed for students enrolled in the Transition SH/SDC/Life Skills (Severely Handicapped-Special Day Class/Life Skills) program who have current I.E.P. Notes: Grade Range $1 8 +$ /Transition. Pass/No Pass

Prerequisites: Enrolled in the SH-SDC Life Skills Transition Program with a current I.E.P.
