This course is designed to build a foundation in microprocessor technology. Microprocessors are found in many different types of electronic systems, from the automobile to the microcomputer. This course will introduce the students to microprocessor architecture (how it works), microprocessor programming and interfacing. The microprocessor programming is in both machine and assembly language, through this language the microprocessor talks to itself and in the language companies prefer their technicians to know. The interfacing section will introduce the students to various control applications to microprocessors.
Prerequisites: Advanced Electronics 3A-3B with a grade of "C" or better
