Lee V. Pollard High – Dance Performance 1a-1b

This course will provide students with an overview of dance. Units will be taught in Ballet, Modern Dance, Jazz Dance, Ethnic Dance, dance improvisation, choreography, dance production, and dance history. This one-year course will be offered for either Fine Arts or Physical Education graduation credit and may be repeated at the intermediate and/or advanced levels for credit. Notes: Students must agree before registration to a commitment of additional hours outside of class time. Students will perform at various events throughout the year, but their main performance will be an annual Spring Dance Concert. This course may be repeated for duplicate credit.
