This course has been developed to assist students in becoming informed automotive consumers. Students will be exposed to various aspects of vehicle ownership such as purchasing, insuring, and choosing a repair facility. Students will learn to perform basic maintenance and emergency repairs such as changing a tire and checking fluid levels. Students will become familiar with the various systems found in a vehicle and will be able to identify and describe the operation of major components. Safety, proper tool usage, environmental responsibility and career exploration will be emphasized in this course.
