PLTW Aerospace Engineering is broken into four units. The first unit is an introduction to Aerospace. Students will learn the evolution of flight, the physics of flight, and flight planning and navigation. The second unit is Aerospace Design. Students will learn the materials and structures of aircraft, types of propulsion, and flight physiology. The third unit is space. Students will learn about space travel, unmanned robotic systems, and orbital mechanics. The fourth unit is Alternative Applications. Students will learn about alternate applications of flight, remote systems, and explore aerospace career opportunities.
