American Sign Language (ASL) IV provides advanced interpreter training, independent community exploration as well as continued advancement in upper-level vocabulary and classifiers. Students will spend class time developing a portfolio of a variety of interpreting scenarios (doctors visit, VRS call, etc.). This class is designed to develop confidence in interpreting as well as communicating effectively with deaf people in a variety of situations and to further prepare students interested in enrolling in a bachelor’s degree program in interpreting.
