Physical education is an opportunity for students to exercise, have fun, develop skills, and learn more about fitness concepts. This course is directed towards and planned for students with disabilities to meet their needs with the partnership of general education students participating as classmates taking on roles as partners, leaders, peer models, and to establish a culture of inclusion and support. The goal in providing quality inclusive/Modified (Partner) Physical Education is to ensure all students, with and without disabilities, experience the mutual benefits of inclusive participation. Students should learn in an environment that meets their abilities and needs, and maximizes the essential opportunities for social, motivational and educational interaction with age appropriate peers, all of which Inclusive Physical Education provides. This course requires an application to join.
