Recommended for highly-motivated, college-bound students who consistently demonstrate strength in academic reading and writing. Students explore real-world issues and engage in cross-curricular research and writing. Through learning the academic research process, students enhance their critical thinking, creative problem solving, and communication skills. Assessed through two performance tasks and a written exam. A passing score will earn students elective credits at most participating colleges and universities. Contributes 1 credit to the Electives category of High School Graduation Requirements. Required for AP Capstone Diploma.
