I find that if students feel they are listened to and heard, this allows them to feel encouraged. For the past 11 years, I've had the pleasure of working with students of all agesfrom as young as 3 to over 50both online and in classrooms, as a tutor and teacher. My academic background is interdisciplinary, drawing from political science, sociology, history, anthropology, and human rights law. Two of my favorite areas to teach are EFL and history. I enjoy teaching EFL because language learning can open doors to new opportunities and cultural understanding, while history and political science are deeply connected to my career in human rights advocacy. I also have a passion for art history, having studied painting and drawing in college for three years. My teaching philosophy centers on being flexible and adaptive to the needs of my students. I believe in meeting them where they are, understanding their individual learning styles, and adjusting my approach accordingly. Whether it's through structured lessons or creative problem-solving, my goal is always to help students gain confidence and become independent learners.
