La Jolla High – UCCI: Building Scaled Structures 1, 2

# UC\] This course integrates skills and concepts from the building and construction trades with applied mathematics and English. As part of a natural progression, students apply the craft skills required to design and build a variety of scaled structures that meet current building code requirements. In addition, students learn how to create and use project construction documents, including blueprints and project packets. This course provides students with opportunities to apply academic knowledge and technical skills through a hands-on curriculum that meets pre-apprenticeship requirements for the National Building Trades Council.
