Dramatic Writing for Film, Television, and Theatre I is a high school English Language Arts (ELA) credit option, developed with the Georgia Film Academy, focusing on dramatic structure, character, conflict, and scriptwriting for stage and screen. This course teaches students to analyze media from a writer's perspective, build writing habits, and create a first draft of a play or screenplay, meeting ELA graduation requirements and supporting pathways in Georgia's growing film industry.

This course focuses on an introduction to journalistic writing through an analysis of newspapers, yearbooks, literary magazines, and broadcast journalism.  A concentration on the following components of journalistic writing may include, but is not limited to the interview process; evaluating sources; the purpose, structure, and diction in writing; and training in the various technology used in publishing.
