Jefferson High School – Sheet Metal: Intro Construction Technology and Pre-Apprenticeship Program of Study

Make a metal planter, a metal tool box, make toys and other objects out of sheet metal. This course will expose students to the skills and information necessary to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, maintain, and repair items and structures created from sheet metal components. Students will learn the safe and efficient operation of various tools, and typically gain skill in blueprint reading, and finishing and polishing metals. Some other trade skills in plumbing and electrical can also be learned if time allows.
