In this one-semester course, students will engage in debates and discussions on a wide range of topics, including moral, political, social, constitutional, and religious issues. The course focuses on teaching the elements of debate, such as forming logical arguments, conducting research, and applying debate strategies. Students will learn essential skills for both formal and informal debates, including logic, reasoning, and effective communication. While participation in competitive debate is encouraged, it is not required. This course earns elective credit only.
