Issaquah High School – Percussion Ensemble - MU135A/B

Percussion Ensemble is a year-long course for students with prior experience in band or music. The course provides opportunities to perform in both small and large percussion ensembles and serve as the percussion section for Concert Band and Wind Ensemble. Students also participate in the high school drumline for marching band and basketball games. Each student will undergo an initial skill assessment to create an individualized improvement plan.
Prerequisites: Medium to advanced music-reading skills and snare drum skills/techniques; two to three years of middle school percussion instruction or equivalent.
Grades: 9th Grade, 10th Grade, 11th Grade, 12th Grade
