International Community School – Choir 1

This is a foundational course to the high school choral ensemble experience.  Students will build upon their knowledge of music literacy, vocabulary, expression, skills and vocal technique and their role within the choral ensemble. Students will demonstrate their learning through school and community performances. No prior choir experience is required. This class is open to students in grades 6 through 12. No prior experience with singing is necessary to join. This class takes place within the 7-period school day. Middle school students may take it as a middle school elective, meaning students may opt to take this class in place of their grade level elective. High school students may take this class to cover their Fine Arts credit requirements or as an elective.
