International Community School – High School Symphony Ensemble

This course is a continuation of the high school string ensemble experience. Students will continue to build upon knowledge of musical literacy, vocabulary, expression, skills and techniques as it relates to their specific instrument and their role within the instrumental ensemble. Students will demonstrate their learning through school and community performances. This class, known as High School Symphony Ensemble, is a combination of both band and orchestra students in grades 9 through 12. Students must have at least one year of experience on either a wind, percussion, or string instrument to join. High school students may take this class to meet their Fine Arts credit requirements, or as an elective.
Prerequisites: One year of experience on either a wind, percussion, or string instrument
