Innovation Design Entrepreneurship Academy – Introduction Toaerospace Andaviation

The Introduction to Aerospace and Aviation course will providethe foundation for advanced exploration in the areas ofprofessional pilot, aerospace engineering, and unmanned aircraftsystems. Students will learn about the history of aviation, fromLeonardo da Vinci's ideas about flight to the Wright brothers andthe space race. Along the way students will learn about theinnovations and technological developments that have madetoday's aviation and aerospace industries possible. The courseincludes engineering practices, the design process, aircraftstructure, space vehicles past and present, and a look towardfuture space exploration.Students will also learn about the wide variety of exciting andrewarding careers available to them. The Introduction toAerospace and Aviation course will inspire students to consideraviation and other aerospace careers while laying the foundationfor continued study in grades 10-12.
