This elective will introduce criminal and civil law at the federal, state and local levels. Students will participate in mock trials, learn about landmark court decisions, and debate legal issues. We will study how laws are created, enforced and interpreted. Criminal law studies will include a unit on basic crime scene investigations and how the results are used as evidence in criminal trials.
