Hulstrom Options K-8 School – MUSIC FUNDAMENTALS

Music Fundamentals is a general music class for students regardless of their background in music. Students do not need to be enrolled in a music ensemble class like band, orchestra or choir in order to take this class. Students will learn music basics, music theory, world music and cultures, music history and have a deeper look into how to listen and the rudiments of music learning. What students do: analyze a wide variety of music; complete projects/presentations on music of their choosing; gain a basic understanding of music theory; study music from various countries and regions of the world; learn listening techniques Counseling Notes: 2. This is a class for students who enjoy music and want to learn more about it, without having to perform.
