Holly Street Early Learning Center – Technical Theatre - Performance and Production - AR120A/B

This full-year course focuses on the major areas of theatrical technology and production, providing "behind-the-scenes" experience in theatre. Students will develop skills in set design and construction, lighting and sound technology, costume and makeup design, and stage management. The course also covers aspects of theatre production such as budgeting, marketing, and administration. Students gain hands-on experience and leadership skills to prepare for careers in theatre, entertainment, and media-related industries. Attendance at one High School production is required as part of the class.
Prerequisites: Students should have an interest in theatrical design and technology, as well as a willingness to work in a project-based, collaborative environment. Mature behavior and safe practices in a shop setting are essential.
