Ceramics Art 2 provides students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding and practice of ceramic techniques, expanding on skills introduced in [Ceramics Art 1](https://www.isd411.org/2026-2027/course-catalog/course-description/~board/2026-27-hs/post/art110-ceramics-art-1). The course includes hand-building, wheel-throwing, and advanced decorative techniques while incorporating design principles and exploring ceramics' cultural, historical, and contemporary contexts.
Prerequisites: Completion of Ceramics Art 1 (previously Sculpture 1) with a grade of C or better is strongly recommended. Prior experience with ceramic clay and glazing techniques is beneficial.
