The course involves hands-on activities such as mock trials and comparative analysis of correctional systems. Students will explore courtroom procedures, correctional alternatives, and the juvenile justice system, while developing leadership skills and critical thinking. Guest speakers from courts, corrections, and other agencies provide real-world insight.
Prerequisites: An interest in learning about the criminal justice system. While Criminal Justice 1 is not required, it is highly recommended.
