Hillcrest High – Competitive Public Speaking 2

This elective course is for students who have completed Competitive Public Speaking 1. The course requires development of research skills, critical thinking skills, skills to evaluate of drama, prose and poetry appropriate for competitive events, mastery of parliamentary procedure and the process of writing a legislative bill or resolution. A commitment to regular competition with the school's Speech and Debate team is expected. This course does not take the place of any required English course.
Prerequisites: Competitive Public Speaking 1 and Instructor approval
