The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the rudiments of music and its study, using the techniques of listening, performing and composing implemented through the use of keyboard, computer-assisted instruction and/or other performance media. This course will also develop a historical perspective of music from the Plainsong Era to present day, develop an awareness of the multi-cultural aspect of music and develop social skills and to further formal study of music through the conduct
