High Point Central High – Novice Vocal Music

This course is open to any student who enjoys singing for pleasure. It is a beginning level chorus with no prerequisites or audition required. This course provides for the development of music reading skills and appropriate vocal performance technique through individual, small, and large ensemble work. General musicianship will be stressed. Students will begin to master singing in a variety of styles. Music from classic to contemporary styles will be studied. Students may be expected to attend after school rehearsals and performances where participation is a required and graded portion of the course.
