Hickory High – Automotive Technology (DCTC)

Two-year vocational program. Designed to meet automotive industry needs in diagnosis and repair of modern automobiles. Covers engine repair, automatic transmission, manual drive train, suspension and steering, brakes, electrical, heating and air conditioning, and engine performance. May earn credit at State Technical College, State Fair Community College, or Universal Technical Institute.
Prerequisites: Cumulative GPA 2.50 or higher; minimum 95% attendance during sophomore year; no more than 2 ISS placements; must be in good credit standing and scheduled to graduate
