Heritage High School – AP Studio Art 3D- Design

Prerequisites: AP Studio Art 2D Design (recommended) Advanced Placement Studio Art Design portfolios are designed for students who are seriously interested in the practical experience of art. This College Board Program provides the only national standard for performance in the visual arts that allows students to earn college credit and/or advanced placement while still in high school. Both portfolios require actual examples and electronic submissions of student artwork within a three-section structure of Range of Approaches, Sustained Investigation and Selected Works. Students are required to purchase a specific list of supplies and a matting fee. Additional supply costs may also be incurred. Supplies for AP Art will overlap with the students enrolled in Art III and IV. If possible, students should take AP Art with a on-level Art class to allow for enough time to complete the portfolio requirements submitted to College Board.
