Heritage High School – Student Congress

These skills include, but are not limited to: decision making, problem solving, communication, leadership roles and civic responsibility. This course takes a hands-on lab oriented approach to leadership training by involving students in participatory leadership through activities and projects. Year one is a state credit and subsequent years are local credit. Peer Assistance and Leadership (PALS/Student Ambassadors) is designed for students to further develop and apply peer mentoring skills, communication skills and problem-solving techniques. PAL students will plan and facilitate leadership trainings, charity events, and community fundraisers. Students are selected through an application and interview process the prior school year.
