Heritage High School – Practicum in Graphic Design and Illustration

Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester

Students will be expected to demonstrate & deliver a technical understanding of the graphic design industry with a focus on skill proficiency. Instruction may be delivered through lab-based classroom experiences or career preparation opportunities (field site). Additional focus will be placed on professional communication strategies and ethical decision making in regard to graphic design careers. Software focus is the Adobe Creative Design Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Materials fee may be required for this course. Students must provide their own transportation to and from the off-campus field site. Fingerprint and/or background check may be required based on field site.
