It provides the student with the opportunity to learn technical skills relating to the scientific and technological aspects of animal systems, anatomy and physiology, nutrition, reproduction, genetics, pests and diseases, business management and operation skills. Animal species to be addressed in this course may include, but are not limited to, beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, goats, poultry and exotics. Students will have the opportunity to improve their leadership skills through the FFA organization. Course will count toward fulfilling a prerequisite for Veterinary Medical Application and Advanced Animal Science.
