The course will investigate topics related to health and wellness and the gaming culture. This course can be used to satisfy the technology applications credit. # Sports and Entertainment Marketing (1/2 credit) 10th –12th grade Prerequisite: None This course will provide students with a thorough understanding of the marketing concepts and theories that apply to sports and sporting events and entertainment. The areas this course will cover include basic marketing, target marketing and segmentation, sponsorship, event marketing, promotions, sponsorship proposals, and implementation of sports and entertainment marketing plans. This course will also provide students an opportunity to develop promotional plans, sponsorship proposals, endorsement contracts, sports and entertainment marketing plans, and evaluation and management techniques. The curriculum will present embedded DECA principles and project-based learning that will give the students the opportunity to apply newly acquired marketing skills in real world situations.
