Heritage High School – Future Ready Health Care

Students must provide their own transportation to and from off-campus sites. This course is designed to expose students to the various careers associated with the medical profession within a hospital setting. Students will see how digital technologies are integrated into the traditional hospital setting. The course will challenge students to solve some of the complexities in what future health care may entail. Students will be exposed to emerging technologies such as 3D printing for surgeries, robotic process automation, virtual reality, biomedical testing/repair, prosthetics and artificial intelligence to improve the patient experience. Collaboration, the ability to think creatively and critically resulting in a culminating innovative project will be the crux of this course. Immunizations, TB tests, flu shot and drug screen are required.
