Heritage High School – American Sign Language I

Prerequisites: none ASL I introduces students to the language and culture of the Deaf. In this course, students will build their receptive and expressive communicative foundation. The focus of this course is developing a novice-mid proficiency. This course is conducted in ASL (without voice) a significant amount of time. Due to a shortage of qualified teachers in this area, enrollment will be limited and this course may not be available at every campus.
