Henry E. Lackey High School – Photography I

This course will explore the basics of $3 5 \\mathsf { m m }$ photography, including camera operation, exposure techniques, composition, and darkroom skills. The history of photography will be presented in chronological order and major photographers will be examined as styles correlate to classroom projects. The aesthetics of photography will be explored through a combination of photo assignments, darkroom work, class critiques, and field trips emphasizing the development of each student’s personal photographic style and artistic vision. Students are responsible for purchasing additional photo paper if they use their allotment.
