This course introduces basic guitar techniques. It covers performance and production, analysis and theoretical studies, historical and cultural contributions and influences, creative aspects of music and appreciation of music. This is a music elective that offers students the opportunity to learn to play guitar. Reading notation and playing chords as well as developing basic guitar performance techniques will be important components of this course.
