Harlem High School – LLA 301-302 Latin I

Students (9-12) are introduced to the terminology peculiar to Latin grammar and to elementary Latin grammar itself. They also begin reading and translating Latin prose and are introduced to Roman history and culture. Much emphasis is placed on Latin vocabulary and English derivatives. Students continue to expand their knowledge of basic Latin grammar, Roman civilization, Latin vocabulary and English derivatives. They also begin translating advanced texts.
