The purpose of this course is to provide students with learning opportunities in a prescribed program of study within the Health Science cluster that will enhance opportunities for employment in the career field chosen by the student. Students will be preparing for an industry certification exam as a Certified Electrocardiograph Technician (CET). Content includes, but is not limited to, a foundation in the cardiovascular system, safety measures for the individual, co-workers and patients as well as training in the appropriate theories and instruments used by an Electrocardiograph Technician.
Prerequisites: Health Science instructor approval.
